Jose Carnero

Jose is a professional Supply chain Management Coach and Consultant, specialising in executive training and Supply Chain auditing process facilitation.

He commenced his career in port operations and freight forwarding in the 1970's. Subsequently he joined the Logistics Management team of a multinational company with Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Oil, Electronics and Food Ingredients Divisions.

Responsibilities included managing imports, Distribution operations, external facilities and major contract negotiations in worldwide shipping, pan-European transport and rationalisation programmes.

Later, as Logistics Manager of the Food Ingredients division, he took on the challenge to set up the European Logistics operation in Paris, managing subcontractors' production and integrating the logistics operations at European level.

He also undertook a senior project management role as Training Manager, leading the successful on-time implementation of an ERP (SAP) project roll out, in 21 countries, for the various company divisions.

In addition Jose was also a policy and committee member at the Chemical Industries association (CIA) and CEFIC the European Federation, with active involvement in the Distribution and International Trade working parties.

Since the late 90's Jose has undertaking Training/Consultancy senior roles as leading associate. Customers include international corporations in shipping, logistics, Oil and gas companies, consumer goods manufacturers and food and allied industries, in Europe and South America, delivering the programmes in Spanish or English as required. Previously he has delivered courses on International Trade Finance and Distribution, for the Institute of Export of which he is a graduate.

Jose not only has extensive Logistics Management operational experience, but also complementary academic credentials; he was awarded a Master of Science degree In Transport and Distribution Management from the University of Salford; is a Graduate from the Institute of Export and is a qualified External Lead Auditor under the ISO 9000 series Quality Systems.
