Roger Hart Cert Dip AF AIPD

A native of Wigan, living in Derbyshire, Roger has extensive experience of purchasing and finance in both the Public and Private Sector.

He worked as a valuer in the Inland Revenue Valuation Office for a number of years, where he was involved in the valuations of landed property for purchase, taxation and rating purposes and in negotiations with professional surveyors on behalf of their clients.

Within the Manpower Services Commission, he was a buyer of consumables for three skill centres in the North West of England, later becoming responsible for the planning, drafting, negotiating and management of contracts for youth and adult training programmes for large parts of Cheshire. Additionally, he was responsible for the assessment of financial viability and audit of contractors.

For the last 11 years, he has worked as a trainer in financial management, procurement and contracting issues, in both the public and private sectors, being responsible for the design of the first ever contract management course within the Department of Employment Group in the mid-1980's and being in the forefront of their financial/contracting training developments during the intervening years, when among other issues, he pioneered the use of computerised business simulations in the Employment Department.
