Dr Stephen Booy FIMC MBA ACIS MHCIMA

With a managerial career spanning over 27 years, Stephen Booy has a range of experience in both the public and private sectors including an international perspective. From roots with in the hotel and catering industry, Stephen held senior management roles in the UK's National Health Service at various establishments, including the commissioning and development of two major hospitals. At this time he was seconded to work on the Secretary of State's Management Efficiency Group and chaired a number of teams involved with management innovations.

In the last 16 years, Stephen has furthered his career in the private sector, taking on a number of general and operational management roles and directorships within the facilities and related industry. His industry experience includes the oil and gas sector; fleet transport management and maintenance which included a recent role in Kazakhstan; and the hospitality and leisure industries. In many of these roles, Stephen was involved in contract management, client relationships and outsourcing.

In recent years, Stephen has become more interested in the area of management development, holding a number of related posts including Managing Director and Co-Founder of MBF International Ltd, Fellow and Faculty member of the International Management Centre Association of Business Schools, tutoring on a range of management development programmes to Masters level. Stephen is also a member of the faculty of Management Centres Europe, based in Brussels where he tutors on a number of management programmes to a wide audience of delegates from across Europe and beyond. Under the auspices of MBF International, Stephen is currently working with a number of companies in Slovenia assisting with developments in individual and team productivity and effectiveness.
